Exam cycle has started again

In IT, I believe certifications are important. Especially as a consultant. I usually will cycle my exam taking unless my employer asks me to take one for company certification reasons. Usually I’ll run my cycle during the kids school year so that I can relax during the summer, and I’ll usually try to knock out between 2-5 certs in that time.
I just registered for the beta 71-663: Pro: Designing and Deploying Messaging Solutions with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 exam. It wasn’t on my list for this cycle, but I’m pretty comfortable with Exchange already and have been playing with 2010 internally at home and at the office. I actually got a slot this time as I never usually get registered in time to get one. Hopefully this fares better than the beta Vista exam I took a few years ago.
I guess the CWNA and CCDA will have to be on hold until I finish up the Exchange exams.
I’ve been doing a lot of Cisco and wireless lately so that explains the Cisco certs going to the top of the list. I really should upgrade my VMWare VCP and get the Hyper-V cert as those could be valuable in the coming years.
Never a dull moment in IT.
