That I passed the 70-649 exam? Yup, now I’m a MCTS: Windows Server 2008. Two more exams and I get the MCITP:Enterprise Administrator certification for Windows Server 2008. Maybe I’ll just knock those puppies out this week sometime.
TechEd is more fun when people aren’t calling you every 5 minutes. Call me a multitasker, but I did two Hands on Labs, two phone calls and helped another co-worker troubleshoot a problem, all at the same time. Yeah, I know…I rock.
Time for some Read Only Domain Controller learning action…

You know, my first thought was to talk about all the cool technical stuff I found here at TechEd. The dazzling displays of Microsoft Virtualization technology, the cool new Unified Communications stuff, maybe a Bill Gates sighting. But maybe I’ll talk about the stuff you won’t hear from everyone else.
Like for example, the bathrooms near the breakfast area were completely empty when I visited them. I found that really odd. Thre’s probably close to 10,000 people here right now and no one was in the bathroom. Maybe the morning coffee didn’t hit yet.
Like how my backpack is really really heavy now thanks to the SECOND backpack that’s been mashed into it, along with 2 new TechEd 2008 t-shirts. Or how the CommNet stations (for internet and session breakout info) are almost not in use on the main floor.
Haven’t seen anyone from CDW-B yet. Maybe they are all hung over? Oh wait…I think that is reserved for just the Wausau office.
In non TechEd related news, went to Universal to see the TNA tapings. I’m sure spoilers are posted elsewhere, but I did notice that former ACW alum Shawn Daivari landed in TNA. He was hanging out in the production area and did a short promo for Team International of the World X Cup. Good to see him end up somewhere as he’s a good guy and a great worker. I was amazed at how much audience coaching there was to cheer or boo different guys. Even Jeremy Borash did a deal convincing us how bad Sonjay Dutt was after the wedding dibacle at Slammiversary was. I think they noticed a heavy Indian presence in the crowd. And the Dusty Finish was in fine form there during the TNA tag team title match and subsequescent beat down of LAX afterward. The beatdown angle went a little long and my wife made sure they knew it by yelling “BORING”. Listen for that on iMPACT on Thursday. We’re on the top level of the bleachers right in front of the hard camera below the TNA logo. You really can’t miss Melissa with her big-ass zoom lens and me in my green Extreme Couture shirt and Avs hat.
On to go find some way to skip the key note… After seeing so many speeches in the Air Force from everyone from the President to the SECDEF and Sec of State, I’m bored with speeches.
