Duran Duran!

I just scored two 1st row balcony seats to Duran Duran in Chicago on May 14th! I know, being a Duranie isn’t a cool thing right now, but dammit, it’s a childhood dream to see them live finally.

Melissa wouldn’t go because she despises Duran Duran (and we couldn’t find a babysitter) so my buddy Hubie stepped up to the plate.

I’m so fuckin’ excited!

…and I’m…Hungry Like the Wolf! :)

I’m sick…of work?

Wow…I just realized the last time I blogged was February.  Damn…

At the end of February I started a pretty big project at one of my former employers. Don’t get me started on how weird that whole scenario is. That project has taken time away from a lot of things I used to enjoy. I haven’t been to BJJ practice in months, I forgot what my youngest son’s first name is, and my garage is still an unnavigable mess. OK…how could I forget my son’s name?

To top it all off…I’m sick as a dog. It was a beautiful weekend (what happened to the rain we were supposed to get?), and I couldn’t do anything about it. The neighbors were out beautifying their yards and mine’s still a disaster. I’d get a little bit of energy to go outside, but then just end up back in bed sleeping.

At least I have something to look forward to. In June I’m heading down to Orlando to partake in a Microsoft sponsored boot camp for MCSE’s to upgrade to the new MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 certification. I’m also heading to Chicago the day before to take part in the VMWare Virtualization Forum in Chicago. I’ve used VMWare primarily for testing and design, but this should be an interesting opportunity to learn more about server virtualization.

After that…Vacation! It’s our 10th Wedding anniversary on June 12, and I’d like to take Melissa somewhere special, but I don’t know if we can find babysitters for the kids or not. The family hasn’t been much help in this department lately though.

Know of any good babysitters?
